Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea — August 7, 2017 — ROX Gaming, a Korean eSports organization known most famously for its League of Legends team (ROX Tigers), is proud to announce the signing of Korean Tekken legend Jaemin “Knee” Bae. Knee will be competing under the ROX Gaming name as of today.

Knee is a professional Tekken player from Korea who has been playing Tekken since he was in elementary school, starting with Tekken 1. He has been referred to as ‘the greatest Tekken player of all-time’ and is a legend in the Tekken community. He currently ranks second in Tekken World Tour Points for the Asia-Pacific region.

“We were impressed with Knee’s consistent level of play and his ability to perform at the highest level for over a decade now. With the Tekken World Tour being announced this year, it was a no brainer to pick him up to represent our organization. His personality, skill level, and class all align with the ideals that ROX instills in its players and teams,” says Eliot Namgung, director of eSports for ROX Gaming.

“We look forward to having Knee in our organization as he will be an influential player for us but also in the future of our organization. We are looking to start an academy where young players will be able to hone their skills in their respective game but also learn other skills in physical therapy, English fluency, and social skills where they can prepare for a professional eSport career. Knee’s massive experience as a professional eSports player will be a huge asset for our organization moving forward.”

ROX Gaming is excited to join the fighting game community fray, and Knee is the perfect catalyst to spark ROX Gaming’s journey into other games such as Dota 2 and CS:GO.
